Our solution integrates products of vendors from the specific ATC environment with products of recognized vendors from the large IP communications market in order to meet the specific demands of ATC customers, such as reliability and resilience.

Datanet Systems has generated the specific system design and has implemented in 2001-2003 the first operational ATC Communication network completely based on IP protocols in ROMATSA, the Romanian Air Traffic Services Administration.

Datanet Systems is developing communication infrastructures to help customers improve the quality of services and minimize operational costs. The current multi-service network infrastructures implemented by Datanet Systems’ specialists are using the latest available technologies into data and voice communications.

Further cost reductions are achieved by using the same “single resilient” WAN infrastructure for all data and voice communication needs. Specific attention is given into our designs to Quality of Service offered to different applications, either real time or non real time. By using the latest technologies available in traffic engineering, our designs are able to identify different traffic flows and to ensure specific QoS needs according to requirements.

Our designs are able to interconnect with existing communications infrastructure without costly upgrades or equipment replacement. The equipment used for voice transport services is developed and tested to fully interoperate beyond the standards. Our solution contains advanced failure detection and recovery techniques, normally not available in legacy voice communications.

Datanet Systems’ designs are based on widely used transport technologies and incorporate specifically developed features for ATC communication requirements. The first major feature is the integration of the widely used IP transport technologies with specific architectures and equipment features, to achieve high system reliability and resilience.
